Allianz Annuity Commission for Producers (2026)

Updated November 2026

Short answer: Allianz's top starting comp on our annuity carrier list is 7.25%, paid under Option A for issue ages 0-75 on the 10-year 222+, 360 and Benefit Control+ group and the 10-year Accumulation Advantage family. Core Income 7 and Accumulation Advantage 7 pay 5.5%, Accumulation Advantage 5 pays 3.25%, and every product steps down for ages 76-80.

Our job is to beat your current annuity commission.

Stuck at your current commission level, or simply want higher commission? Our sole purpose is to scale your business by beating your current commission levels. No matter your current commission level, if you meet our minimum requirements (solo producers have none), you automatically get higher commission than where you are today. Starting comp is for every producer, including new producers with no experience — there is no production minimum. If you have strong production to show, we contract you above our starting comp. Established agencies, financial advisors and financial firms, and healthcare agencies can earn much higher too. Submit your application, schedule a Zoom, and we review your current commission levels carrier by carrier and contract you above them — with full back office support, case management, carrier contracting and sales tools included.

Allianz starting comp by product

Allianz has the simplest grid of the major carriers on our list: five product groups, one payout option (Option A) and two issue-age bands. Rates follow surrender length: for ages 0-75, the 10-year products pay 7.25%, the 7-year products 5.5% and Accumulation Advantage 5 pays 3.25%. Our carrier list shows these rates under Allianz Preferred (Allianz Life). The table shows the top starting comp for each Allianz product on our annuity carrier list, with rates verified in October 2026. Starting comp is the level every producer starts at, with no experience requirement and no production minimum.

How to read the Allianz grid

Every Allianz row on our list uses Option A, and each product has two age bands. The 10-year products drop from 7.25% at ages 0-75 to 5.25% at ages 76-80, Core Income 7 and Accumulation Advantage 7 drop from 5.5% to 4%, and Accumulation Advantage 5 drops from 3.25% to 2.25%. With a grid this simple, the real decision is fit: which product and surrender period suit the client's goals and liquidity needs.

  • Issue age: commission steps down in older age bands, so the same product pays less for an older client.
  • Surrender period: longer surrender periods pay more than shorter ones. Never choose a longer period for the commission; it has to fit the client.
  • Payout option: heaped options pay the full first-year commission at issue; trail options pay less up front and a percentage in later years. See heaped vs trail commissions.
  • Chargebacks: if a contract is surrendered or the owner dies within the carrier's chargeback window, part of the commission can be recovered. Check the current terms in your contract.

How Allianz compares with other carriers

Allianz's 7.25% top rate, shared with Heartland, puts it in the group of 18 carriers on our list that pay above 7% at the top. Mountain Life (10%), F&G (8.5%) and Athene (8%) pay more on their best products, so compare product to product for the cases you actually write. Frequently asked questions

What is Allianz's highest annuity commission?

On our carrier list, it is 7.25% starting comp under Option A for issue ages 0-75, on the 10-year 222+, 360 and Benefit Control+ group and the 10-year Accumulation Advantage family. Rates were verified in October 2026 and can change.

How much does Allianz pay for clients aged 76 to 80?

On our list, Allianz pays 5.25% on the 10-year products, 4% on Core Income 7 and Accumulation Advantage 7, and 2.25% on Accumulation Advantage 5 for issue ages 76-80.

Why does a 10-year Allianz annuity pay more than a 7-year one?

Longer surrender periods generally pay more because the carrier expects to hold the money longer. That is a reason to check suitability carefully, not to favor the longer period: best-interest rules require the product and surrender period to fit the client.
